Pakistan Beat West Indies by 8 Wickets in the First ODI

Gros Islet, West Indies, Pakistan easily cruise to a convincing 8 wicket victory over West Indies in the first match of a 5 match one day series.

West Indian captain Darren Sammy won the toss and elected to bat. WI made 221 in their 50 overs for 6 wickets. Wahab Riaz took 2 for 62 in his 10 overs whereas spin bowler Saeed Ajmal bowled his quota of 10 overs for 24 runs . He got one wicket.

In reply Pakistan completed their chase in 43rd over with a loss of two wickets. Asad Shafique, Misbah ul Haq and Mohammad Hafeez made half centuries. Three players started made debut for Pakistan . These were Junaid Khan, Salman and hammad Azam. Mohammad Hafeez was given man of the match award.
