Imran Khan to Protest on Drone Attacks

Imran Khan, Chairman of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaaf has announced that he is going to protest against drone attacks by Americans today. As a protest Imran khan along with his supporters is going to block the road that is used for NATO supplies in Afghanistan. Protesters are likely to block the road at Peshawar.

In the one of the recent attacks on Waziristan region around 25 people died. The frequency of these attacks gained momentum in the last month and hundreds of people have lost their lives ever since.

According to Rehman Malik, the interior minister of Pakistan, Pakistan can't do anything to stop these attacks as Pakistan does not have the required technology.Pakistan has suffered serious life-losses during the Afghan war both as collateral damage and as casualties during the war with Taliban. Furthermore, according to Pakistani sources, Pakistan economy, an already IMF dependent economy, has suffered multi billion dollar losses during the war , leaving the country in deep economic troubles.
